The 'STRANGE' questions FOLKS ALWAYS ask

Blunt, brazen, and intriguing! Curious minds often ask…

The classic "source of funds" question? Ha ha. Am I a rich YouTube fat cat? Nope. Far from it. They say I'm a Business owner. I earned my first dollar in design at just 13/14 years old. Started a business while in high school. Earned a degree in architecture...but haven't used it much. The twenty-five years since then have taken me on a roller coaster of creative business projects with Caribbean artists, athletes, banks, NGOs, and governments.  These days, I focus my creative energy almost exclusively on my own ventures, which are ultimately about leveraging intellectual property and global networks. One way or the other.

Sounds legit right?

Perhaps the most interesting thing about "what I do for a living" is that I've reworked my entire life around ensuring that my young children have tons of access to daddy. Everything I do nowadays revolves around that. Not the other way around. Ain't that wealth?

The short answer: What do I do for a living? I own a business.

ANSWER: Aye, matey! Absolutely! This isn't just any boat; it's a genuine go-fast vessel that once made an incredibly successful Caribbean drug run before being seized by law enforcement. Now, it’s mine! Interestingly, no one was ever convicted in connection with that operation. But that's none of our business! Right? I find it fascinating because the masterminds behind such sophisticated smuggling operations are often at least as clever as the law enforcement agencies trying to catch them.

Stay tuned for the upcoming “US$75m Contraband” video, where I’ll dive deeper into this thrilling mystery. Trust me, you won’t want to miss it—subscribe to the Reggae Rocket YouTube channel now to join the adventure!

The boat is real. The Caribbean 'Pirates and Smugglers' intrigue is just beginning! Disclaimer: "any similarity to real persons or events is purely coincidental."

ANSWER: Technically, yes! I’m a co-owner in an exciting project restoring a 1977 Cessna 182Q, complete with a sleek repaint and a few modern upgrades. This Skyhawk will soon be ready to conquer the Caribbean skies, where adventure awaits! Join me on this thrilling journey and be the first to hear about my aerial exploits!

To be completely honest I post whenever I feel like and can find the time to chop it together my way. That’s probably not the right answer to give, but the truth is I have so many different things doing that posting every Monday or weekly just doesn’t make sense for me. So subscribe, listen out, ring the bell. Like, comment or subscribe. Tell me what to work on next!

Depends on who is asking! Lol. My (small) businesses are all based in Jamaica. My family is in Cayman Islands. So I spend significant time in both countries. Significant frequent flyer miles in between.

Here’s a funny tale! During traffic stops, I've had multiple police officers in at least three jurisdictions ask me if my name is real. They often wonder, "Where is this name from? Did you give yourself this name? It’s very unusual!" Well, believe it or not, Tarik Zawdie Kiddoe is actually on my birth certificate—no deed poll involved! The first two names have North African and Arabian origins, while the surname’s history remains a mystery. One thing's for sure: every "Kiddoe" I've ever met is related to me. So yes, Zawdie is as real as the adventures that come with it!
